Professor and researcher at the Department of Regional Geographical Analysis and Physical Geography of the University of Granada and Associate Professor at the Department of Geography of the University of Bonn. Ph.D in Geography and Territorial Development obtained in 2015 at the University of Granada in the framework of the Spanish National Grant for Formation of University Professors. Researcher at the Institute of Regional Development and member of the research group Landscape, Territorial Planning, and Local Development. Environmental Expert for UNESCO responsible for the evaluation of Biosphere Reserves. The most relevant publications and research projects focus on Landscape, Protected Areas, and Soil Management, with special emphasis on the implementation of Public Participation Processes. Teaching and research experience in Universidad del Norte (Colombia), as well as King’s College London, Helsinki, Toulouse, Warsaw, Krakow, Bologna, and Lisbon Universities.
